This when research suggests AI tools benefit already high performing designers most. But also, might extensive use of AI tools replace habits of critical, independent thinking, and imagination? That is, why struggle with a problem when a chatbot can provide a neat, packaged response? And so what is an uncritical or unexamined AI response doing to design thinking and creativity? Man shapes AI and then AI shapes man? Indeed what makes a designer in the age of AI?
